Yirrgandji Land and Sea Ranger Program

Senior Ranger

The Yirrganydji Land and Sea Ranger Program was established in 2015 by Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation to support Yirrganydji community-based conservation, land and sea management, enhancing the social, cultural, and economic wellbeing of Yirrganydji people, and contributing to environmental and heritage outcomes for the wider Cairns region in North Queensland, Australia.

This Position, Senior Ranger, is responsible for performing a lead role in implementing and supervising the Yirrganydji Land and Sea Ranger team, program, and operations. This position has a strong focus on supporting and mentoring rangers to maximise their participation in natural and cultural resource management activities and delivering practical and operational tasks of the Yirrganydji Land and Sea Ranger Program. This position will also support the aspirations and priorities of Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation and Yirrganydji community.
